love loud website

Our mission is to Love God and Love Loudwater and we want to demonstrate the love of Jesus by being a source of practical help.

Born during the 2020 pandemic, Love Loudwater exists to offer practical help to our local community. Here are some of the projects we are currently running. If you would like to get involved in supporting the work of Love Loudwater or you are in need of practical support yourself then email love@loudwater.org

school supplies
For many families, providing their children with supplies for schools can be a difficult process. We are partnering with local schools to provide children with everything from their school uniform, home learning resources, to a full to the brim pencil case!

Over the last year we were able to provide our local primary school (Loudwater Combined School) with a selection of items that can be used both in school and to support home learning. This was possible due to the kind donations (both financial and physical items) of our church family.

We have also been able to provide 12 Laptops to Loudwater Combined School. This will enable some of their students to access content and home school. We would like to thank SoftCat and The Community Church for making this donation possible.

This Summer we have many more families that will benefit from this initiative. If you would like to know more about partnering with us then email mark@loudwater.org

boxes of hope 3

As a church we firmly believe that no child should go hungry - whether this be during term time or a holiday period, every child has the right to a full belly. It's with this passion, supported and funded by the generosity of many volunteers and @loveyourneighbour's #LoveChristmasLYN initiative that over the Christmas holidays we provided boxes full of food for families in our local community. Each box of food was accompanied by fresh items and frozen meals, provided by our church community.

The boxes of hope continued to support families during the 2021 lockdown until schools reopened in the summer term. We are committed to seeing an end to child hunger in Loudwater which is why our Holiday Lunch club runs over the school holidays to support local children and families.

Planning your Visit

new to church website

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like right now, we’d love to welcome you to St Peter’s. Everyone’s invited. We meet for our Sunday service at 10:30am, here’s what to expect when you come:

Most of us hesitate before walking into a place full of strangers, but don't panic – you will be welcome and there's no need to take part in anything you’re not comfortable with. We all come as we are, so there's no need to dress up - wear something that makes you feel comfortable.

Where and When

We meet in the main Church building on the corner of Treadaway Hill and Kingsmead Road at 10:30am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team, if you're unsure where to sit then our team will help you to a seat, while social distancing measures are in place our seating configuration is different to usual to ensure everyone is at a safe distance.

Plan your journey:
Our car park is quite small and on Sundays it's reserved for those who have mobility difficulties and first time guests. Additional parking is available on the Treadaway Estate opposite the church car park entrance. When making use of the parking on the business estate please only park alongside the fence-line parallel to the businesses. If parking on surrounding residential streets please be considerate as we want to be good neighbours.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Service

Our 10:30am service is an informal service of contemporary worship for all the family. The service begins with a time of worship. Each week we hear a relevant message from the Bible and take time to pray together and respond to what God is saying and doing as we worship. We share in Holy Communion together once a month.

What about my kids?

We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages at St Peter's Kids:

  • The Ark (0 months to 3 years) - children using The Ark will need to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
  • Little Lions (3-5 years)
  • All Stars (5-10 years)
  • St Peter's Youth (11+ years)

Children need to be registered before 10am, so please make sure you arrive in time to check in your child. When you arrive onsite please head to the kids check in desk at the entrance to the halls, opposite the church, where our team will be ready to meet you and your child. If you want to know more about our kids groups contact mark@loudwater.org.
