Getting Involved

World mission

St Peter's Church supports world mission as a matter of policy in prayer and finance.  We give at least ten per cent of our voluntary income to missionary work.  Many church members also give to those we support through restricted giving.

Why do we support?
Jesus said: "God authorised and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you.  I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20 The Message)

Who do we support?
The main missionary organisations we support are:

Beit Immanuel
Deep Roots
Mercy Ships
The Church's Ministry among Jewish People
Toward Jerusalem Council II
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Wycombe Youth for Christ

We have specific people whom we consider to be part of the St Peter's family who are connected with all of these organisations/outside agencies and our support is committed both to the individual people and the societies through which they serve.  We also support a number of other missionaries who work in sensitive areas of the world and who are therefore not featured on this website.
